1953 American Lafrance Firetruck. 700 Series. VIN # L-4829. NEEDS FULL restoration. Last ran around 2018. Has original Lafrance V12 gas motor “J series” and Standard transmission. Unknown condition of pump, but will be to be gone through- the main drain line is cracked, as well as some of the smaller copper lines that go up to the gauges. I’ve never attempted to put in pump gear. Dual Zenith carbs were rebuilt around 2017, Hyrdovac rebuilt and master cylinder and both rear wheel cylinders replaced. Was running and driving last in 2018. Been parked since due to other truck projects. Will need extensive work to be road-worthy. No battery. The truck is still positive ground. Comes with original Sterling mechanical siren and Federal beacon ray light. I also will include 2 replacement doors complete will all the window and door hardware. Will need body rust repair and glass replaced. Selling due to space needs and other firetruck projects. (Can’t fix them all!) This truck originally served Vincennes, Indiana. Comes with clean Massachusetts title. Will need to be towed off site. See photos for condition. Frame appears solid. Good bones but like I said needs work. Located in Northeast Massachusetts near NH border.
